i found a praying mantis dead, lying on its back today. i fetched a broom to sweep it from the doorway. with one big sweep she was in the garden bed. then she moved her legs... just a little. i stood watching and wondering if she was signaling to me that she wasn't ready to go, just yet... or was she beckoning me to go with her?
